The Isle of Man takes waste management seriously. Here's how to keep your recycling right and where to take everything else.
Kerbside Collection
Most areas have fortnightly collections alternating between general waste and recycling. Collection day depends on your area — check with your local authority or visit gov.im/waste.

Civic Amenity Sites
- Douglas (Tromode) — Main recycling centre, accepts almost everything
- Ramsey — Lezayre Road
- Peel — Mill Road
- Port Erin — Ballakillowey

Bulky Waste
Furniture, mattresses and large items can be collected by arrangement. Book through your local authority. Small fee applies.
Zero to Landfill: The Isle of Man has an Energy from Waste plant at Richmond Hill — non-recyclable waste is incinerated to generate electricity. The island is working towards increasing recycling rates.
